This is our first piece under collective 'kashmkash'. 

 

I collaborated with my childhood friend Hamid Waziri. Our vision of art is something rarely practiced in our times. In a world where everything is digital and autonomous, we try to blur the lines by combining digital art into traditional handicrafts. It's a team effort. From a single idea stems so many ideas, designing the main image, placing colors and making it suitable to be turned into textile art, dyeing and matching the colors, to weaving, washing, clipping, it is truly a complete process. We take time with the process and have learnt a lot through trial and error to translate surreal art into rugs. We blend centuries of history, tradition and skills with precision, glamour and efficiency of modern art.
